Shadow damage

If you are trying to build a strong shadow setup, you want to build as much synergy as possible among your equipment choices. The primary procs and feats that inflict shadow damage are shown in the table below ...

Direct damage proc DoT proc SoC proc EoC proc Direct damage feat DoT feat Increases
shadow damage dealt
Curse Defense against
shadow damage
Nightfall Corruption Condemnation Befoul Empowered nightfall Empowered corruption Damnation Shadowcurse Nightward
Deathtouch
Shadowcrush (against doomed opponents) Channel (suck blood when dealing damage against doomed opponents )
Corrupt innocence (burst damage against righteous creatures) Temptation (DoT against righteous creatures)
Soulburn (burst damage against corrupted creatures) Induce despair (DoT against corrupted creatures)

Shadowcurse will increase any shadow damage dealt by your weapon, your servant, etc., but will not increase damage from deathtouch.

As noted in the table, shadowcrush and channel only work against doomed] opponents, so equipment with the blacken proc is needed before they have a chance of activating.

Corrupt innocence and temptation will only activate against righteous creatures.

Soulburn and induce despair only activate against corrupted creatures.
