Rage is one of the three aspects of your vampire to which you can allocate stat points.
Rage is about offense, aggression, and the ability to attack.
Increasing the amount of your rage will, in general, increase the amount of damage your vampire can inflict on opponents.
Many items of equipment may also have a rage requirement that must be met with stat points directly allocated to rage. Until you have reached the amount of rage specified for an item you cannot purchase, craft, or use that item.
Rage points that are temporary (those that are gained because of a weapon or piece of armor in your setup, do not count towards the number of rage points required to use, craft or purchase particular items.
What rage affects
Rage does not affect proc damage.
Some items can increase your rage temporarily — while you have them equipped in your setup. The rage points that you gain by having one or more of these items in your setup do not count towards the rage requirements shown in the following section of this page.
The list of items that can increase your rage has been moved to its own page.
Reduce the opponent's rage
Some pieces of equipment have procs or passive abilities that can reduce your opponent's rage.
