Insanity belt is a belt.


You must be at least level 44 and have at least 35 control points to craft and use the insanity belt.

Special abilities

The insanity belt increases your maximum blood by 25.

An insanity belt increases your chance of hitting an opponent by 1%.

An insanity belt increases your chance of making a critical hit on an opponent by 1%.

Sockets and gems

An insanity belt has a total of one socket for gems:


The insanity belt has the following procs associated with it:

  • Procs-Paranoia.png  Paranoia: The paranoia proc is an offensive proc that causes the opponent to take extra damage from psychic sources. Paranoia is a level 1 proc on an insanity belt.
  • Procs-Void grau.png  Spellbreaker: The spellbreaker proc is a disruptive proc that gives a chance to prevent an opponent from gaining any feats or procs for one combat round.


An insanity belt can be combined with one or more of the following items to form the set descent into madness:

Accessory Brain-in-a-bottle
Boots Path of madness
Glyph Glyph of madness
Hand armor Grip of madness
Head armor Mask of madness

When two or more set items are used together, your entire set-up receives an additional bonus. See the descent into madness page for more information about those bonuses.



You must craft the insanity belt with the assistance of the chaos agent, the merchant in Dark oblivion.

Crafting materials

Collect the following items to craft the insanity belt:


You cannot trade or give an insanity belt to another player.


You can disenchant an insanity belt.

You can expect to receive between xx and yy blood rubies when you disenchant and destroy an insanity belt.
