Weapon proficiency

The hyperion glaive is a polearm. Your setup with a hyperion glaive will gain additional skills as your polearm proficiency increases.

Polearm proficiency adds deflection to your polearm-weapon setup. At level 1, polearm proficiency also increaeses your weapon damage by 10 at level 1, by 20 at level 2, and by 30 at level 3.

The glyph of the warstalker used with the hyperion glaive will count each battle as two towards polearm proficiency.

Inscriptions

You can inscribe a hyperion glaive with any of the wrath inscriptions for weapons. The proc associated with the lifebound wrath inscription increases the chance to resist hostile procs, while each of the other wrath inscriptions has an offensive buffs that gives a chance to increase the amount of damage from a particular damage school that is dealt against an opponent.

Sockets and gems

A hyperion glaive has a total of three sockets for gems:

Procs

You may gain one or more of the following procs while using the hyperion glaive:

  • Procs-Berserk.png  Berserk: The berserk proc gives a chance to add additional direct physical damage whenever other damage is incurred by the opponent. Berserk is a level 7 proc on a hyperion glaive. You may gain the berserk proc more than once in a single round of battle.
  • Procs-Chain attack.png  Chain attack: The chain attack proc is an offensive and disruptive proc that gives a chance to deal an additional weapon attack in the same combat round. Chain attack can be gained up to 5 times in a single combat round. Effects that are triggered by hitting an opponent may also trigger again.
  • Procs-Void grau.png  Spellbreaker: The spellbreaker proc is a disruptive proc that gives a chance to prevent an opponent from gaining any feats or procs for one combat round.
  • Procs-Gore.png  Gore: The gore proc gives a chance to deal additional physical burst damage to a cowering target. Gore is a level 5 proc on a hyperion glaive.
