Direct damage procs
Direct damage (DD) procs deal damage against an opponent in one hit (as opposed to DoT procs for example). Direct damage procs may also be classified as:
- Start of combat procs
- End of combat procs
- Burst damage procs
Damage over time procs
(DoT) proc deal damage in each round of a battle once they have been activated.
These procs will be gained only once for each source during a battle. If more than one piece of a setup has the same DoT proc associated with it and that proc is gained, the damage of the DoTs stack (are added together).
Dirct heal (DH) procs recover all the blood they are capable of in a single activation. These procs can be gained in more than one round of a battle.
Healing over time procs
Healing over time (HoT) procs recover some blood in each round of a battle once they have been activated. These procs can activate only once for each source during a battle. If more than one piece of a setup has the same HoT proc associated with it and that proc is gained, the healing done by the HoTs stack (are added together).
Offensive buff procs typically do not inflict damage directly but instead amplify or increase the damage dealt by other sources.
Defensive buff procs help reduce or avoid damage inflicted by an opponent.
Some procs, such as curse may belong to more than one category at a time.
The curse proc reduces the rage and control of an opponent, allowing the user to inflict more damage on the opponent while at the same time receiving less damage from the opponent. Curse can thust be described be an offensive/defensive buff.
Disruptive & strategic procs
Some combination procs may also be described as being disruptive or strategic, meaning that they can have a complex and sometimes unpredictable combination of effects on a battle that will not necessarily be predictable in advance.
