Once just an ordinary caretaker of the cemetery, no-one really knows now if the keeper is alive, or dead, or something forever stuck in between. His years in the darkness, surrounded by vampires and demons, have poisoned his mind and replaced every trace of his humanity with shadow.

Creatures-Corrupted.jpg A cryptkeeper is a corrupted creature.

The cryptkeeper can inflict shadow damage on its opponent.

The level of the cryptkeeper varies based on your own level in the game.

The cryptkeeper, like all the creatures in the Crows Hill crypt and the other portal locations, is also slightly stronger than a normal creature/boss of the same level.

Depending on your level, the cryptkeeper will behave like a slightly stronger than normal level 10, level 20, etc. epic boss.

The cryptkeeper may gain the following procs during a battle:

  • Procs-Anemia.png  Anemia: Anemia is an offensive proc that gives a chance to apply the weak blood status effect to an opponent.
  • Procs-Void.png  Void: The void proc disrupts a battle by preventing an opponent from using any feats.

The cryptkeeper can be summoned to a battle as a servant of any coven boss.

The cryptkeeper can summon the following creatures to battle on its behalf:

Other info

You can only encounter the cryptkeeper creature in the Crows Hill crypt portal.

You are more likely to encounter a cryptkeeper if you are using blood sapphires, blood diamonds or blood rubies as bait.

Vanquish a cryptkeeper in battle, and you may occasionally discover that some of the following items have been left behind as loot:

The cryptkeeper is the object of the cryptic message sent quest from the old witch in the crypt, the local trainer for the Crows Hill crypt portal.

  • 7 March 2013: The cryptkeeper was added to Chronicles of Blood.
