The book of spells is a bound accessory.


You must be at least level 75 to use the book of spells.


You may gain one or more of the following procs when the book of spells is part of your active setup:

  • Procs-Shield.png  Shield: The shield proc is a defensive buff that reduces incoming damage from vampiric creatures (or from other players in PvP) for the remainder of combat. Shield is a level 2 proc on a book of spells.

You must craft the book of spells accessory with the assistance of the quartermaster, the local merchant in the Vangoth castle portal.

Crafting materials

To craft a book of spells, you must collect and deliver to the quartermaster the following crafting materials:

Fel leather
  • 10  
Bovine leather
  • 25  
Ghost plasma
  • 15  
Necronomicon pages
  • 5  
Ghost ink
  • 30  
  • 4  
Rune tokens
  • 1  
Rune scroll

Crafting usage

The book of spells is one of the crafting materials you must collect if you want to craft the book of lost runes at level 115 or above.


You cannot trade or give the book of spells to another player.


You cannot disenchant the book of spells.


You cannot remove the book of spells from your inventory by scrapping it for credits.


  • 16 September 2013: The book of spells accessory was added to Chronicles of Blood.
  • 4 August 2014: Requirements were reduced from 5 to 4 tokens.
